Nuno Battaglia is founder and principal of Public Development Partners.
He is former Managing Director at Leucadia National Corp (NYSE: LUK), an $8 billion evergreen value fund focused on distressed opportunities, where he had assignments in deal sourcing, divestitures, and management of portfolio assets in North America, Europe, Russia, SE Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He also assisted Berkadia, joint venture between Leucadia and Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A), in the $11 billion workout of Finova Group Inc., one of the largest bankruptcies in US history.
Mr. Battaglia is founder, owner, and former EVP/CFO and Director of HealthEquity, Inc., the largest non-bank trustee of Health Savings
Accounts (HSAs) in the United States.
Mr. Battaglia received BA (cum laude) and MBA degrees from Brigham Young University, where he was designated a Cook International Scholar and a Hawes Scholar, the highest distinction from the Marriott School
Griff Johnson is founder and principal of Public Development Partners.
Mr. Johnson is the former Director of Land Acquisition and Development
for Fieldstone Communities, which he helped grow to be one of the largest developers and homebuilders in California, Utah, and Texas.
Mr. Johnson started his development career at Kaufman and Broad (NYSE: KBH), the Nation’s largest homebuilder, where he was quickly promoted to Land Manager of the Utah region, with oversight responsibility over all acquisition activities.
Mr. Johnson holds a BS degree from the School of Engineering at Brigham Young University, with a major in Construction Management and a minor
